July 1, 2025 | STRIKES | Greg Boulware, president of District Council 33 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, called for an immediate and indefinite work stoppage of the more than 9,000 municipal employees he represents after contract negotiations with Mayor Cherelle L. Parker’s administration fell apart late Monday night.

Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says. Baldwin unveiled the figure at a Senate Labor Committee confirmation hearing for David Keeling to be Trump’s OSHA administrator.

Last night during the June General Membership meeting, a $2,000 attendance prize drawing was held for the third time.  The drawing includes the name of every active member of the SLPOA, but you had to be present to win.  Member Deonte Hill’s name was randomly drawn, but he was not in attendance, so the $2,000 attendance prize will be carried over to the July meeting.
