Meet the new Legislative Director, Meisha McKenzie

As the new Legislative Director of APWU Local 185, my goal is to make sure the voices of our members are heard and represented beyond the workplace. I want to educate our members about legislation that affects our jobs, pay, benefits, retirement, and the future of the Postal Service, while also building stronger relationships with our elected representatives so they understand the concerns of postal employees. I want to increase member participation in legislative activities, keep our members informed about important issues, and encourage everyone to use their voice as postal workers and members of their communities. Most importantly, I want to build a strong legislative program within Local 185 that keeps our members informed, engaged, and prepared to advocate for the future of the Postal Service and good-paying postal jobs.
